Fields of Research

Intracellular signaling
Molecular basis of disease

Research Summary

The role of autism-associated kinases in neurodevelopmental disorder.

Research Statement

Dysfunction in signaling mediated by kinases is linked to neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder. I aim to investigate the role of an understudied autism-associated kinase in neuronal development with the use of biochemical assays, neuronal cultures, and a chemical genetic kinase labeling approach to identify direct substrates.
