Research Summary
Advancing humanity’s understanding of animal behavior to foster a connected world between species; transforming how we care for, learn from, and live alongside animals.
Research Statement
My research focuses on developing advanced machine learning and AI tools to automate behavioral analysis in animal models. I am building a platform that can automatically detect and classify standard and nuanced naturalistic behaviors in rodents (which make up 95% of all research animals). This involves designing algorithms capable of learning directly from experimental data for disease-specific stereotypical behaviors, improving the sensitivity and detail compared to standard options. The system is being optimized for scalability, low-latency performance, and seamless integration into existing preclinical workflows, with the goal of enhancing reproducibility and accelerating drug discoveries.
