Research Summary
Understanding how interactions between genes and environmental exposure to toxicants contributes to neurodegenerative disorders
Research Statement
Currently, we are focusing on investigating how interactions between genes and environmental exposures adversely affect cognition and olfaction and elucidating underlying mechanisms including adult neurogenesis. We address these questions using animal models including humanized transgenic mouse models for Alzheimer’s disease.
