I work on trying to understand how the AKAP220- proteinphosphatase 1 (PP1) interaction contributes to primary cilia dynamics in the kidney.


Research Statement

I work on trying to understand how the AKAP220- protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) interaction contributes to primary cilia dynamics in the kidney. To this end, I am investigating the deacetylase HDAC6 and how the AKAP220 targeted PP1 affects its activity.
