Research Summary

I use CRISPR whole genome screening to identify molecular targets in pediatric brain tumors.

Research Statement

Our lab is interested in the biology behind pediatric brain tumors. These tumors have low mutation burden and often closely resemble neural stems. This creates a small therapeutic window to target them compared normal brain tissue. In order to target these tumors over normal tissue, we implement whole genome CRISPR screens to identify molecular weaknesses of these tumors.
