Role of the presynaptic calcium channel Cav2.1 in short-term plasticity


Research Statement

My work focuses on the the study of the role of the presynaptic calcium channel Cav2.1 in short-term plasticity, spatial learning and memory. Using biochemical and in vitro electrophysiological experiments, I try to characterize any interaction of synaptotagmin-7 and Cav2.1 channel and eventually its role in synaptic plasticity.
